LE VOYAGE: Metropolitan airports offer many services for travelers that could leave a few people wondering if it’s a gimmick or a worthwhile investment.

If your airport offers the security wrapped luggage service where an independent agent wraps your luggage in cellophane… its worth considering.

Safebag® or other similar services will wrap your luggage and tag it with a special label to ensure it has not been tampered with or manipulated in any way. The service starts at $10 per bag and if your want to add the insurance, it starts $4. Insurance covers any missing items or damages. Talk to the agent for more specific information.

I tried the service twice and really like it. Transporting gifts or sensitive items that are neatly packed in luggage that was wrapped helps me keep my mind at ease. I recommend it.
