Expat Diary: Dating in Europe - My Mocha Soundtrack

Image updated: removed ex-boyfriend LOL

LA VIE: Is dating in Europe more challenging than in America? Are the personal desires, conflicts, frustrations, and attitudes easier to adjust to and tolerate? My dating adventures in Europe over the past 2.5 years have contributed to my life’s soundtrack. My “Mocha Soundtrack” has about 8-9 solid lessons that shape my perception of an American dating in Europe. Other experiences are like footsteps in the rain…. they dissipate over time. French men in particular are certainly more forthcoming and mildly emotional than American men. They aren’t afraid to share how they feel which is refreshing.

More posts coming soon… they are insightful and have helped me focus on what is most important: the fulfillment of what life has to offer!

Songs which come to mind to describe my European dating experiences (in no particular order):

  • Vogue by Madonna

  • Thin Line Between Love and Hate by the Persuaders

  • This Woman’s Work by Kate Bush (Maxwell’s version also applies)

  • Treasure by Bruno Mars

  • Cheap Trills by Sia

  • Work by Rihanna

  • Two Occasions by The Deele

More dating posts will come later and will likely be featured via social media. To stay in touch on when those posts appear… follow me on Instagram!
